Ten hardness measurements were obtained using a Vickers hardness testing machine with a load of 100 g and a dwell time of 10 s from top, middle and bottom of as-cast and homogenized Experimental Alloy 1. The average hardness was measured to be 46 and 52 Hv for as-cast and homogenized Experimental Alloy 1.
